::Changing the subject::

Lady, any other mommies of seven month olds: anyone tried yogurt bites for LO yet?  I just bought some for DS but not sure if I will give them to him yet.  They are supposed to dissolve instantly but they also say they are for crawlers and he is more of a "scooter" at this point in time.

  • I think I waited until dd was 7.5 months to start giving her anything other then purees. The strawberry yogurt melts are yummy, even for mommy. Wink

    Yah, everyone I have talked to says they like them too.  Maybe I'll keep this bag for myself!

  • DS started crawling a little before 6 months so I really didn't go by those. I started giving them to him a little before 7 months and he loved them. They were really messy though so I always had to make sure DS had a bib on.

  • We haven't tried these, but we do the banan puffs and they love them. It is so great to watch them learn how to feed themselves. However, Jordan doesn't get that your hands don't stay in your mouth. So the puffs are dissolving before they get in his mouth from all the drool left on his hands.
  • I haven't tried the yogurt drops yet, no.  On a side note, the doc wants me to take Liam to physical therapy.  Due to his utter refusal to stay on his tummy for longer than 30 seconds, his arm strength isn't there.  He'll sit up unassisted but he hasn't figured out how to go anywhere yet and that worries me.

    DS hates tummy time too but seems to hold himself up pretty good now.  He is sort of "swimming" on the carpet and scoots around.  I am kind of surprised they want you to take Liam to physical therapy-wonder what they will suggest?

    BTW-he's such an adorable little leprechaun!

  • I'm also still worried he's going to choke on stuff.  I gave him a mum mum today and when it got mouth sized I was afraid he was going to choke on it...am I worrying too much? lol

    Jordan was like this too. Jayden started doing it like at least a month before him. I think it takes boys a little longer. I wouldn't be too worried. Jordan is just now crawling, setting up on his own, and standing. It was like he couldn't do anything and now he can do it all. Just be patient.

    I guess I kind of pressed for it.  Liam doesn't use his arms much, I guess that is the part that worries me.  Hopefully they'll work with him a bit then send me home with more exercises for him.

    Thanks! He's loving his little green hat... lol

    No, no I think those cheese sticks are just fine for #2.  I think cheese sticks are pretty healthy actually.  You've got at least three of the food groups going on: dairy, wheat, and the tomato sauce probably satisfies more than one serving a day of veggies for LO!

    I think you get a big Yes for being such an A+ mommy!

    P.S. I plan to start DS on Taco Bell as soon as he gets those two front chompers all the way in-he is gonna love him some fourth meal!
