due to two people arguing, no offense ladies, but I just want my question answered. Mucus Plug, I looked it up and whatever, but still, is it like a period type of blood? When I hear plug I think about the plug you put in the bath tub to keep the water in =] haha. So no arguing back and forth this time.. someone just tell me what to expect so that way when it happens I don't think something is seriously wrong. I am sorry if this is stupid, but its my first LO and no one else in my family seems to remember this detail.

I don't think it's period-type. In our childbirth class, she said it's just blood-tinged mucous. I guess like a huge glob of snot with a little blood in it. (By the way, you should have seen DH's face when our instructor said "some of you may not even notice you've lost your MP because you've been having so much vaginal discharge already." Probably the grossest sentence he's ever heard! Ha. )
Honestly, I bet you could google pictures of it.

your google skills must suck then.
I actually posted something just for you yesterday b/c the bickering got on my nerves too

We can';t give you an answer because every woman is different. It could be all clear and come out at once, or over the course of a few days...or it could be blood tinged, red or brown...
That was already suggested to her.

Also, you probably need to lighten up a little. Threads get off topic more often than not, and if you have a question that doesn't get answered here - try google. Or better yet, call your doctor.

FYI it took 10 seconds to get this info

You'll know as soon as you see it. It's the single grossest thing that comes out of your body: blood-tinged, snot-like, goo in the form of a clump.
Anyone hungry?

Is it just me, or does anyone else here avoid MP posts like the plague, because seriously... 1) they're pointless, you can regrow the stupid thing, and 2) it really looks just the way that it sounds.
The title of this post should've been more descriptive so I could've avoided it
The OP doesn't know how to use google apparently
I feel bad for her kid if one day she gets asked a question that she doesn't know...she likes answers handed to her....pretty much spoon fed to her, so I guess she will come to the bump every time she needs info instead of learning how to google.
This. Mine is apparently long gone and I never noticed its departure.
I definitely do! And, OP, google is your best friend. Use it.
I can't imagine that being grosser than when I sucked part of my brain out of my nose using an infant ear syringe a few weeks ago. It was an ice-cube sized block of green goo and I could literally feel it pulling out of my sinuses. It was fantastically awesome.
You should've taken a pic of it and posted it on the internet, for when someone on a different forum wants to know what brain boogers look like!
Hmmm. That might be a very close second.

are u serious? you're still with this? even after all the replies you got last night... some answered.. and most were huffing and puffing with one another..
yes yes i was lurking.. lately that's all i do, i dont post much anymore.. but seriously.. you can always Google it.. or look it up.. ask you doc or just keep checking your panties.. if its really that important to you.. im not trying to fuss with you, but seriously?? you're gonna start this question again?
everyone is different.. some lose it and notice it.. others dont.. it really depends.. its different for everyone.. i will be 38 weeks tomorrow and i still havent noticed anything.. even my doc told me theres a chance i wont even notice it come out.. it just depends..
I used to go to the doc to have that done. It can be quite painful at times. I should have just used an infant syringe. It would have been much cheaper.
Not flaming you!
The mucus plug is different for EVERYONE. With DD, I lost it and it was thick white ball of mucus. NO BLOOD at all. Have you googled it? Just know that if you see a clump of mucus (slimy of red, yellowish, brown) it is probably part of your mucus plug. Don't be alarmed, it is a good thing. It means that your cervix is changing. Don't call your doctor, unless there is alot of blood and or your water breaks or you start having contractions every 5 minutes for an hour. Good luck.
LOL too funny but True!
HAHA that made me laugh!
Back in my day on 3rd Tri, we used to describe it as that dude from the Never Ending Story. So PIP comparison time:
And
Your next question should be about the bloody show
Proud Mama to Mickey (12.03.09) and Nemo (06.06.13)
If you paint yourself to look like an ass, it will be shown to you.
And it would be easy to ignore your stupidity if you didn't post with such a lame title.?
Bwhahahaha ::snorts::
