I was so nervous about this appointment for nothing! My cervix is holding steady at 21mm! They said that there's good functional length above the stitch- so the cerclage is doing its job!
I am so happy that my cerivx is behaving itself.
The u/s tech said that they do not normally do cervical length checks after 28 weeks. Even with the emergency cerclage. Does this sound right to you guys? She's going to check with the peri to make sure and will call me if they want me to come back- but as of now, that was my last u/s for cervical length~!
I am going back for a growth scan at 32w. But otherwise, everything is up to my OB now. I am seeing him next week. He did say once I hit 32w he's going to start lifting bedrest restrictions. Yay!!!! I'm starting to see the light at the end of the bedrest tunnel.
Re: My cervix and I are finally on the same team.
Great news! It's a good week for cervix'!!!!
I asked when the cervial checks would stop at my appt yesterday and she said 32/34 weeks.
Don't you love the growth scans- I wish they would do them at every appointment! So happy for you! Hard work (or uh, laying around) does help!!!

I go in their cupboard and steal sheets to roll up- because I'm a princess.
Mine take over 2 hours for the two babies so I deserve the damn sheets! lol
lets all thank our cervix! come on it was made specivcally for this job. Now, is its time to shine!
rock on cervix. rock on!
Yay! That is great news! My OB took my last cervical measurement at 30 weeks. He said it didn't matter much to him anymore and he would rely instead on the info from the NSTs-- if I wasn't contracting regularly he felt all was fine.
I also had a gradual lifting of restrictions starting at 30 weeks-- between 30 and 32 weeks I was allowed out for two two-hour outings a week, between 32 and 34 weeks I was allowed two hours of activity a day, and at 34 weeks I was allowed to do whatever I wanted. This seems to have worked since I'm still pregnant almost a week after coming off bedrest completely.
I'm so glad it was all good news today! The end of your bedrest days will be here before you know it.
Yay for seeing the light at the end!! That's great! Also great that the length is so long.
My last cervical length test was at 28 weeks. (a week and a half ago) No more for me! And my cervix was even at 7mm. So, yes that sounds right to me.
