spotting after BETAS before 1st u/s

Hi Ladies-

This is my first post on this side :) after IF that is...

Wanted to say Hello and am seeking some comfort.  I had some brownish spotting yesterday when I woke up (and a little in the am). I read everywhere this is considered "fine" (as long as it's not bright red); and nurse said the same thing...but still!!!

Last BETA was a week ago tomorrow and 1st u/s is Thursday (they said btw tues- thurs, but our dr wasn't available till Thursday--- yet now I wish I just booked the first available!) 

Please help ease my mind!

    how far along are you? (I can't do math today LOL)

    I had spotting with DD right around 6 weeks, which can be from a variety of things but you are right, brown is better than bright red.

    You can always call and see if they have something sooner to put your mind at rest.

    it is very common and generally brown blood is old blood that has gotten dislodged. I spotted and bled until I was 6 months pregnant and all was well. I would let your doctor know... they might be able to give your more tlc!

    I had spotting and red bleeding through week 14 or so...like every other day...it was scary as hell, but everything is fine now!!

    I spotted and bled my entire pregnancy with DS1. It was pretty much constant in the first tri, then after that it was just at random times. It always scared me so much, but all was well. They never were able to find the reason I was bleeding/spotting. But DS1 is about to be 2 in less than two weeks, so it turned out fine!! Good luck! Maybe call your RE and see if they will get you in sooner so you dont have to worry.

    Hey Doodle! As I told you, I had spotting twice - once the day I got my BFP (3w5d) & once maybe a week ago right before 5 weeks. I think the first time was as a result of the Endometrin supps. The other time was just when I wiped & then not again. I told my RE this AM about the spotting & he said it was very common, but that I can always call to ease my mind. They said that your cervix is very sensitive at this time & as long as it doesn't get heavier, then usually it is okay. Based ont he descripton of your spotting, it sounds like it's just old blood or maybe your cervix was irritated by your progesterone? In any event, GL on Thursday - I just know you are gonna have an awesome u/s & see your baby(ies) + the h/b!!

    It's scary isn't it?

    It's normal and a lot of us have been there. I had spotting and even bright red blood off and on until about 10 weeks. I also noticed I would get spotting when I was supposed to get AF for the first two months. Easier said than done, but try to hang in there. Good luck!
