Visiting Lansdale area...what to do?

going to a baby shower in a few weeks...husbands and kids are coming too, so we need something to do family related on a saturday afternoon/evening or sunday morning.  Any thoughts?

Re: Visiting Lansdale area...what to do?

  • In the Lansdale area itself - there isn't much to do.

You could go North to the Crayola Factory in Easton (I think that is where it is).  Or down the city to the Please Touch Museum.

  • There is Merrymeade farm not to far from Lansdale. That could be fun for the kids...I agree with the pp, not much to do in Lansdale!

  • Freddy Hill Farms is right in Lansdale and it's really child friendly, I think they even have a petting zoo and I know they have mini-golf and ice cream.

There are some parks and walking trails in Lansdale - there's Whites Road Park which has playground equipment and a nice bike/walking trail. There's Memorial Park in the center of town which doesn't have any playground equipment from what I can remember but it does have a large area to sit at in and things like that.

As for things to do indoors, there's not a lot to offer...there is a tea shop on Main Street right at Main and Broad but I'm not sure how great it is, i've never been there before.  And the Montgomery Mall is in that area too if you wanna just go run around at the mall. They don't have a pet store anymore which is a shame bc the kids always really love pet stores. Oh and that reminds me, there is a pet store near White's Road Park, it's at the end of the street where Whites Road intersects with Broad Street...there's also an ice cream store down there too called Maggie Moos, all in the same shopping center.

    gluck, hope this helps somewhat!
