I'm going back to work next Monday ( ugh) and was just wondering how much milk you girls have frozen? I know I will be pumping multiple times a day at work and using that, but I wanted a decent freezer stash before I returned back. So far I have 84 oz.
Re: How many oz of milk do you have frozen?
to estimate if u have enough figure out about how many ozs LO will be eating and divide your storage amount by that. ex. if LO needs 8 ozs/day you've got about an 8.5 day lead.
i only have about 30 (having supply issues) and i go back in 2 weeks. cross your fingers for me.
I am bfing and pumping so im lucky if i get 6 oz a day...
84 oz is a good stash. I am sure you will increase the amount if you keep up with the pumping schedule and nursing LO.
Right now I have 75oz. I had 150 at one point but then I had a work trip and the supply went down. I have the issue that I travel for work and DD still takes more than 30 oz a day on top of eating 3 meals. So,I can't be gone more than 2 days.
One 5 oz bag, lol. But I am not going back to work for a few more months (and then just part time for a bit). Still, I need to get better about pumping so I can leave LO occasionally.
Ok, what kind of pump do you use? I get 3 - 5 ounces total each time I pump and I thought I was doing well--I pump 3 times at work--usually enough for the 11 ounces LO takes at DC each day. I feel good about that. My freezer stash is adequate--it's not taking over my freezer, but I don't feel anxious about it either--I haven't counted. Y'all don't forget to rotate your freezer stash--critically important! I use 2 bottles of fresh BM for DD each day, while I freeze another 3 - 4 ounces and defrost the same amount for DD's first bottle at DC each day. Keeps your freezer stash from getting old. Also, I know DD is getting the correct nutrients she needs at that particular stage instead of an old combination of nutrients from months ago.
I have around 400 ozs. I had a little oversupply issue in the beginning from using the hospital grade pump while DD was in the NICU. I also pumped several times/day to get a stash built up. For the last month or so, I've not pumped much.
I had over 700 ozs in the deep freeze from DD#1 that never got used.
I have about 200 ounces and will be going back to work in 4 weeks.
Now that I have a pretty solid supply, I haven't been as vigilant about pumping the last week or two, so I've only been getting about 5-10 ounces pumped a day.

I had around 150 oz. when I went back to work in January. I have around 450 now.
Did I need 150 oz when I returned to work? Not really. The freezer stash is more for emergency use (if I get sick have to be on medication, need to travel away from DS, etc.) than for using on a regular basis. I do make sure to rotate the milk so I don't waste any, though.
