I went in today because of my fall. I called the advice nurse about my back and said the "P" word so everyone freaked out and made an appointment for me today even though I had an appointment scheduled for Wednesday.
I went in, told them the whole story. Then she did an u/s. There is a baby there! I have never seen that before (blighted ovum with first pregnancy). I am measuring 6w1d which is 1 day ahead of what I thought (so pretty much right on) and she said she saw a little flicker of a hb. I didn't see anything because it was so small!
My regular OB then canceled my appointment that I had set on Wednesday where the RE would have done the same thing. I called the RE to confirm and she released me to my regular OB.
I go back in in 3 weeks for my first real prenatal appointment (9 weeks). I am so relieved. Still not telling family. I think maybe after the next appointment.

congrats even though it took a fall...
I first saw my LO at 6w6d because I was bleeding. Sometimes I think things happen so we're reassured early

Yay for you! We didn't tell family until after our 1st OB appointment too. No one else until 12w after the NT scan.
Glad LO is growing away just like he/she should!

Yay - I am so happy you were able to see your LO! And a heartbeat, how exciting!! Sorry about your back though, sounds like it hurts. Hope you feel better soon.
