I am pretty certain my first baby never "dropped". Tell me what differences (other than the obvious lower belly) you notice when the baby "drops" during the 3rd trimester. I am little overweight so I am not sure the physical outward sign would show. Or would it?
Re: When people speak of the baby "dropping"
You may also feel like you can breathe a little easier - since the baby has dropped - you have a little more "room" up there. You may also notice more pain and pressure in your pelvic region...and more pressure on your bladder too! I have a lot more pain in my crotch area and I frequently get shooting pains in the pelvic region. I am told this is from the baby moving into position....
But I really haven't noticed a difference in the shape of my bump or anything...
I never dropped w/ DD.
Some people can tell when their baby drops not from the outside but from how they feel- like they can breathe more easily because their lungs are not as compressed, but they have to pee even more frequently, because the baby is REALLY on your bladder.

I never dropped with ds.
This baby is low already (I'm still peeing every hour or so a night), I feel shooting pains at time on my cervix and I am constantly feeling baby's head moving in my pelvis.
Same here. It hurts like hell too sometimes. Especially when you sit, stand or walk for awhile. The pain is horrible in my cervix. It feels like she is going to fall out.
