XP: Realtor for rentals

I am a former DC Knottie who married a military man and became a nomadic wife.  We are moving back to Northern Virginia this Spring.  I have decided to use a realtor to help us find a rental home.  I am hoping that we can find a SFH or townhouse in Alexandria or Pentagon City.  Can anyone suggest a realtor they have used and with whom you were happy?

On the off chance--we are looking for 3 bedrooms/2 baths with at least some yard (with a fence) for our trained (and spoiled) dog.  If anyone knows of a rental that will be available this Spring, let me know!

    there is a smallish 2bdrm/1bath duplex with an upstairs sitting room (which the realtor/owner calls a third bedroom) for rent on my block in Del Ray, Alexandria. very nice sized yard for the area with chain link fencing all around. friends of ours used to live there (it's been empty since they bought a SFH last year). let me know if you want more details. rubyslypprs AT gmail.

    Lindsey, thanks for the info. . . unfortunately, we need at least1.5 bathrooms.  I would LOVE to live in Del Ray again.  I lived in the apartment building next door to the Audi dealership before I married my DH.  I love Del Ray and it would be so convenient for DH to get to work.  I'll talk to DH and see what he thinks. . . after all, location, location, location!

    i know that place!

    we are on the northern end of del ray, near potomac yards. this house is two blocks to the bus on route 1 and 5 minutes to the crystal city metro or four blocks to the bus on mt. vernon and maybe 10 minutes to braddock road metro.

    i'm fairly certain this house only has one bathroom, through there *might* be one (or plumbing for one) in the basement. the basement is a walkout. not sure if it's completely finished or not. i know they used it as a study as the hubs was in law school when they lived there.

    also, my neighbor's house has been for sale for 6 months, but i just noticed recently that the realtor's listing now says sale/rent. it's a 2bdrm/1bath upstairs, open floor plan eat-in kitchen with a long living room, small privacy fenced back yard (pets are allowed per owner approval), basement is fully finished and is being billed as a third bedroom and has a full bathroom. for some reason, i can't find the listing, but the realtor's website is treygrooms DOT com. i will PM you the address. It's the house with the black door in my siggy pic!

    We just went through this process - as in, two weeks ago.  We're renting a house in Alexandria.  Our old real estate agent from when we used to live in the DC area has a woman on his team who does rentals and she found us a place - she knows the NoVa area pretty well.  We haven't gotten out there yet, so I haven't even seen it!  That's how much we trusted her!
