Lawyer ?

So I finally decided to call a lawyer today to ask general questions. I didn't actually talk to the lawyer yet because its a benefit through work and they have to verify I am an employee first.

What are some questions I should definitely ask when they call back?

I am going to ask how much info I have to actually share before the baby is born.

If I have to let him see the baby while we are in the hospital or can it wait until we come home.

How they decide visitations.

Any other suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Re: Lawyer ?

  • I don't have anything to add to help you, but would love some advice on this as well.  I'm talking to a lawyer this week about CS and everything and would like to know what important things need to be laid out in writing so I don't get screwed.

  • Think of every little thing possible. How will college be paid for? Summer camps, sports, after school activities, day care, insurance. Do you want him to pay via the court (usually at a cost to him) or directly to you. What items will you provide during visitation, and what will you expect him to keep on hand at his place.

  • Any info I find out I will definitely share because I am in PA too, just outside of Philly.
