Does your LO have a lot of clothes?

I'm just curious about how many clothes other babies have.

When I was pregnant I bought the basics for LO because everyone said, "oh everyone buys you clothes" so I didn't want to be overloaded.

When LO was born we wanted a couple of items of pink because all our clothes were gender neutral, and we received one or two gifts of clothing.

So essentially we have the basics of long sleeved and shortsleeved all in ones, a couple of nighties, singlets, and booties, hat and cardi.

We use them all and they go in and out of the wash.

I've never felt inspired to go and buy more for her at this young stage.

Now I'm looking to buy things in the next size and I've been looking at second hand listings on line and some people seem to have bags and bags of outfits for their LO.

So I'm interested. Do you have lots of outfits? Did you buy them or were they gifts? Have you/will you use them all?

(I'm not judging this is just idle curiosity and also stemming from someone's post the other day about how they "dress their baby for the day" rather than having their LO stay in their PJs all day.)

We don't have a lot of clothes for our DS. We did go out and buy more of the footed sleepers because I prefer those for him or onesie's & soft pants. I just don't do the "outfits" because he gets so hot in them.

I plan on just using a lot of onesie's & one piece outfits for the summer. I'm sure he will have a lot more clothes when he gets a bit bigger

I think DD has enough clothes until she is 1. I've only bought maybe 10 things - everything else is hand me downs from friends and family or gifts. Plus, my mom and my aunts love to shop and they keep buying outfits for DD. So far, I've made sure she's worn everything at least once - except for a couple of newborn outfits we got as gifts, but she was already too big for them.

i think she has the perfect amount of clothes. Which is still a lot but with changing her sometimes 2x a day it all works out. And I love to dress her up!

both of my kids had a closet and a dresser full-but enough for the first year--not bags for each 3 month time span. i tend to buy a season or two ahead as well so each has a tote full to swap out when ready

We have enough outfits to not do laundry for a month and still have things. Embarrassed

. LO wears PJ's to bed then every morning I get him dressed in an outfit. I recieved a ton of hand-me-downs from my cousin, and I had a baby shower from friends plus one at work. I also am a clearance rack freak. I have alot of friends who are having babies soon, so I don't see it as a waste. (this is 0-3 I'm referring to, I have the older stuff packed away)

Let's just say that I have an enormous Rubbermaid bin that's loaded to the top with the NB & 0-3 clothes that DS has grown out of. I had a slightly ridiculous amount of clothes for him. He wore some outfits more than others, but none of them were worn more than, oh, 10 times.

I have an equally ridiculous amount of 3-6 month clothes...and they're almost all in summer styles, because I bought them on clearance last year. Oops. He's almost grown out of most of them already. Live and learn, I guess.

DD has absolutely too many clothes. We received a lot as gifts, and I've bought a lot myself. Unfortunately a lot of the gift items she will never wear because they are all 3 month winter clothes and she is just now into 0-3. By the time she fits into them it will be summer time =(

Gianna has enough clothes up until she is 2. I have bins of brand new stuff with the tags on and none of it is hand me downs. It was all new and gifted from friends/family for our showers and after she was born. I also have a horrible shopping addiction and Carters has become my favorite baby store ever. Embarrassed

She's in 0-3 months and she still has about 25 outfits with the tags still on that I'm sure she will never wear on top of the stuff she wears daily- which has never been worn more than once.

For my first - we had a ton. Work threw me a shower (my dept alone is 250 people and I'd say I "know" about 100) and I got a ton of clothes, then my friends and family got me clothes for the shower, then when I had the baby.

My 2nd baby, not so many clothes, but enough. He wears hand-me-downs from my 1st, but they were born in totally seperate seasons, so not all of them work. I also got a bunch of hand-me-downs from a friend that has 2 boys. Also I got some gifts - so the only thing I had to buy was 3 sleep in plays as I didn't have any - I just got the gerber 3 pack a BRU for 10.99. He uses these for bed. Other than that he has about 3 drawers filled w/ 0-3's.

We have an absolute ton of clothes for DD. We hardly bought anything because we didn't know what gender we were having. Everyone bought her presents (my mom is out of control) after she was born. She is the first grandchild and we have 3 sets of grandparents (thanks to divorce) and also, we are the first of our friends to have a baby. So, there are lots of people not only excited to have a baby around, but excited to buy frilly girl clothes. We're at the point that she might not even get to wear all of her clothes before she grows out of them. Having said that, I would never have bought that many outfits, I'm super cheap and they grow so fast it's not worth it IMO.

I had too many clothes. Just packed up most of his 0-3 months and there were a lot he didn't use. Some were gifts, but most of them I bought when I was pregnant. If I had it to do over, I would not have bought as many newborn/0-3 month because I really didn't start dressing him until I went back to work and he started going to daycare. Though I think the fact that we didn't go out much was mostly due to him being born in January.

We bought very little.

In the week that DD has been home, we've gotten brand new clothes as gifts from at least a half dozen people, and my SIL sent a gigantic box of hand me downs from my niece. DH joked that we will never need to buy clothes again.

He came home today with more clothes from a co-worker.

she has a TON Of clothes and like 25 pairs of shoes. ridiculous! but i think people (women) like shopping for little girl clothes. with DS we really didn't need a whole lot of major things. we already had the crib, stroller, car seat (just had to purchase a different cover), etc. her whole wardrobe was gifts. what i did purchase (cuz i just had to get my lil girl something) someone gifted her with the same thing so i took it back.

while i'm at home with her she's mainly in onesies & pjs. i'm one of those "stay inside til 6 weeks" mamas so when she's of age we'll dress her when we go out. i've only dressed her for doc appts. and i'm sure i'll dress her when she goes to daycare. i'm making it a point to get to everything. even if i have to dress her in it just to take a picture. what she's going to grow out of i'll most likely go to goodwill but she's got some name brand things that might go on ebay.

Yes, I have a ton of clothes. ?I work at a school that is 99% female, I have a lot of friends that loooove babies and my mother is a compulsive shopper. ?Thanks to mom, I have clothes all the way up to size 4T (I'm not happy about it...but we've since had the "stop buying me crap" convo).

tons,i have some very like-new hand me downs,tons of new clothes and my sister keeps buying more....wont need clothes til about 1yr
