PSA: Free ultrasounds :)

My husband called from work on Thursday to let me know that in talking about their pregnant wives with a work buddy he had given him the # to a place that does free ultrasounds. Apparently, his wife has gone during all 3 pregnancies.

We finally called today and it's legit It's a school/campus called Professional Training Center and it's on 139ave and 47st. Their # is 305.330.4120. It's totally free, they give you pictures and if you bring a CD they'll record the whole thing for you. They do the u/s Mon-Thurs from 9am-1pm and then again from 6pm-8pm. They also have Friday hours but I forgot what they were.

Just wanted to share in case anyone was interested!

My mom's cousin is a professor at this school. Yes it is legit. It's a training school for ultrasound technicians, x-ray technicians, etc. I went to get free ultrasounds from my mom's cousin there a couple of times and he printed out tons of pictures. They can do 3-D pics as well.

Oh and since my mom's cousin is the professor, there was usually a couple of students standing around watch the ultrasounds. Just warning you that it may happen. Also there are no individual ultrasounds rooms,like at S. Fl Perinatal for example, it is one large classroom with maybe 6 or 7 ultrasound machines. The free ultrasounds are great but if you are shy, it might not be the place for you.

I figured as much Back in the day (7 years ago) when my best friend found out she was pregnant we went to National School of Technology and she got an ultrasound there. Same thing, big room multiple u/s going on at the same time.

I'm just curious as to the kinds of machines they have there.

Either way, I don't care. It's free and I get to see my boy

I went there with both my pregnancies and both times they were right on about the sex early on. With Diego is was amazing since the teacher actually did the u/s and explained a whole bunch of things to the students and things that they need to look for, measurements etc. This was around 14-15 weeks and she told me boy for sure. I even was able to tell since Diego was excited...lol.

With Sofia was a bit annoying since the students were practicing but yu could tell they didn't care about learning since they were too excited about their cruise vacation (I guess they all were going..lol). I didn't care since they were not doing any harm and the tech was able to find the sex which I asked the teacher to double check after. This was a different teacher since the one I liked does it during working hours.

Overall....a great experience and free. So super...:)
