I was wondering if any of you were thinking of getting a bigger place if you currently are living in a condo. We are currently living in a 2000 sqft condo with two bedrooms and a office room. We put most of our stuff in storage but is this enough for two kids now? Thanks.
Re: Getting a bigger place
I live in a 1500 square foot town house with 3 bedrooms. My DH and I live there full time and I have two stepsons that are with us on weekends and holidays.
We thought about getting a bigger place, really we need something with a play room/finished basement type area.
But I just can't handle the idea of trying to sell our house right now.
My husband and I live in a 2 br apt. I REALLY want something bigger, but I'm not sure if we'll be able to before the baby comes. We *could* have enough room where we are now, but I'd love more.
With this !surprise! pregnancy, we really weren't as prepared as most people are. But, we're responsible and really excited
I need to re-read "The House that Cleans Itself" and get everything ready for this baby. Lots to do and only 8-ish months to do it!!!
Good luck to you!
2000 sf sounds like ample space to me! We've been living with a Toddler and a dog in a 850 sq. ft. condo and plan to upgrade to about 1200 sq. ft. I think they key is storage and a good layout!
Oh city living.
We live in about a 2000 sq ft apartment. It's three bedrooms, one of which is an office right now (and my little sister is also living with us for the forseeable future), but we share a room with DS - we're going to convert the office into a bedroom for him in a few months, and then the new baby will sleep with us for the first year or two. I'm a huge fan of room- and bedsharing, in that we don't have to use an entire room for a kid instead of us, ha ha.
We rent, and I'm incredibly skittish about buying a place anytime soon, so we'll definitely be staying where we're at for awhile. Babies don't take up much room, and second kids are nice bc we already own pretty much everything we need for it.
