Baby Shower Hostess gifts ideas (on a budget) ?

My shower is next weekend and I have 2 friends throwing it (though one has done the bulk of the work)... trying to figure out what to get them for gift and we are on a tight budget so don't have a lot to work with. I was thinking gift certs for pedicures or something - but would have to be a less expensive salon - NOT Gene Juarez, etc... one lives in Puyallup by me and the other lives in Kent...no clue for salons that are less expensive but not ghetto in Kent. Also, the one in Puyallup has done a ton more of the planning and work so I feel like I should get her something a little extra too...but what? I know I could get them both plants or something too... I am running out of ideas and don't want to get something they will not want like trinkety stuff.

    There is a nail salon at Kent Station called Peridot.  I've never been, but I'm guessing it can't be too bad since that shopping area is reasonably nice.

    I got flowers from Pike Place and arranged them in a nice vase with a sincere thank you note and some candy. They seemed to like it and it was pretty inexpensive!

    My shower is this weekend, and I am in a similar boat to you as well budget wise.  I am going to get flower arrangements from Pike Place, maybe a bottle of wine, and maybe some fancy chocloates (like Fran's grey salt caramels).  Since the 3 girls who are hosting it are all my family, I thought about finding a cute matching necklace, or other piece of inexpensive jewelry down at Pike Place, but we'll see what I can find.
