As everyone knows from my incessant whining, I slept very little last night. I have a little over 30 minute drive home at 3. I am dreading it because I absolutely can NOT keep my eyes open right now.
Any tips on how to stay wide awake? Especially seeing I am about to have to go sit through a boring meeting.
Re: Is it bad that I am dreading the drive home?
I suggest you take a nap either in your car or on your desk prior to driving home. For your safety and that of others....
I am drinking coffee right now. I hate coffee. I am chugging it like I am at a college drinking party as we speak.
I stay awake by staying cold. Windows open a bit (as long as it's not pouring, which it could be). And caffeine.
Edit: Someone beat me to both! Sorry.
I just drank a cup of coffee. I hate coffee, but it typically makes me so hyper I actually can't sit still. I will probably drink another cup before I leave. I am going to crash and burn so badly once I get home.
I hate coffee too. Another thing I do is move my eyes around a lot. Still looking at the road of course. Drive home safely!
This might not help today, but I have an hour commute each way every day, and I use audiobooks to help me get through it. i have found that even if I'm tired, the books keep me interested and awake and, the bonus, it makes the drive FLY by!
