So I didn't know if I was going back to work. Financially and mentally it is a hard decision for me. I have 4 kids, 3 of whom will be 3 and under.
So my boss finally says just come back and see if you can handle it. Not a big deal to her at all. She WAS fine with this. Completely understanding.
We are a small office and already have more poeple than we need so I guess that is why she didn't care. Well Friday a girl walks in for a interview. Call in coincidence, I don't know. I just know I am going out in 2 months and she is all of a sudden interviewing someone. When I ask her about it she says, " Well I don't know how you would do it with 3 little ones, I mean what about when they are sick?" For one you told me to come back and give it a try. You knew I was going to have 4 kids. She really has been understanding until now.
Ok so what are you saying? I am confused. How would you guys take this? Maybe I am just being emotional. I don't know. I just know I do not have much longer and a decision needs to be made
Re: Work dilemma..need opinions
I work in a small office as well and I know that sometimes when one person is gone for an extended period of time it can really cripple the daily operations of the office. Also, she may just want to be prepared in case you decide not to come back, she may actually be trying to ease that pressure. I mean, it is fairly difficult to find good people these days (at least it seems that way). I guess I just don't think it is awful that a small office is trying to be proactive and cover their own needs in addition to being flexible with your wishes.
Try not to worry about too much, talk to her though so that you can both be on the same page.
