Ladies, I need your help. I'm hoping one of you may know someone who can help me. I think most of you know that I work for the Sony Ericsson Open - the tennis tournament on Key Biscayne. This year it's March 24 - April 4th. The person I had lined up for this year, just backed out on me leaving me in a major bind. Mainly I need someone for week days, but if they can be there every day that's great too ![]()
I am the Stadium Court Producer which means that I'm responsible for
everything that happens on Stadium Court that is not tennis. All the
music for player intros, music between sets and change-overs, contests,
games, performances, and the Finals Ceremonies (though that is a group
effort). This person would be running the sound board in
the booth - which is in the stadium - next to the announcers booths (great view of the matches!).
It's ok if they don't know how to operate one, it's very easy and we'll teach them and make sure they're comfortable before doing it alone, they just
need to be comfortable using technology. So I have a list of music and
CDs and an IPod so they would be playing the music for the player intros
before each match and then the filler music during the change-overs and
set breaks. Also - I would need them to be a production assistant when
we have contests and promos and performances - helping to make sure that
any performers know where they need to go, possibly finding contestants
for contests, etc. Of course there will be downtime where they can watch
tennis (we have our own section down in the photo pit). It's not a paid
position, but there are perks
They get a uniform, credential which
is all-access (except locker rooms), and money for food on
site. Plus it's a great experience and a lot of fun.
So, someone who knows tennis and enjoys tennis is a plus for sure and who is somewhat tech savvy. If you know someone who is interested or who has questions, email me Leanna . Adler at gmail . com

I was a student at UCF's Rosen College- one of their event management majors might be perfect for this! Email the info to Susan Bunn, sbunn at mail dot ucf dot edu
She will put it on their listserv, which goes out to students and alumni- you should get a good number of responses! HTH!!
Thank you so much! I will def do that
