This is baby #4 - so let's face it . . there will no baby shower - but when I see pictures from other girl's showers . . . I just want one for the food and friends. They can skip the gifts!
maybe someone will throw you a luncheon or something? I don't think there's anything wrong with celebrating each pregnancy, I mean, all babies are special.
I'd totally throw you a food party if I lived in CA.
I agree with Shell, every baby is different and special. My co-worker threw her sis a "Pampers Party" for her 2nd kid, it was basically just food and friends, and people brought boxes of diapers instead of presents.

A friend of mine is doing that. She's calling it a diaper shower. It will be co-ed and everyone just brings a package of diapers. Then there will be tons of food, music, beer (for the non-pregnant, of course) and I'm sure pool and darts, etc.
I don't see why you couldn't do that! Or you could have a shower and make it for charity. Since you have everything, anything you get could be donated to your local foster care program for foster parents taking in babies. Those programs are always lacking in funds and donations.

I think something nice and low key for 2nd, 3rd+ time mommas is totally awesome. I love the diapers idea. Or even just hang out and eat and have some cake.
Plan a girls dinner/lunch before the baby comes! I think this sounds like a great idea and might have to do it myself. A final hurrah of food and friends before another baby slows us down!

Im so with you on this! this is only my second, by being in MD, and our family in NJ, no one will throw even a sprinkle. I dont care about the gifts, but the food and friends sound amazing!

I think it's perfectly fine to celebrate every baby; even without gifts. I don't plan to have a shower ever again, but I'd love it if someone wanted to put something together just for snacks and gathering to talk about the new baby. Even games could make it fun...lol.
My SIL is getting a Diaper BBQ for baby #2. Its a coed family get together with food and everyone brings some diapers. Someone has got to be willing to throw that for you at least!
In memory of precious Julia, sweet baby James, and now Timmy who fought so hard.

Re: can't I just get a "food" baby shower?
Haha!! This cracks me up!
That would be pretty awesome though!

P.S. I just realized you're only like an hour away so I'll throw you a food party if you want!
