I just want to pop in and say "hello," since I have been lurking here as of late. I am a regular on the preemies board because my first daughter was born at 25 weeks due to PTL secondary to a fall on ice. This go around, I feel like I am getting Cadillac care because my providers want to be sure that nothing was missed the first go around that made a very benign fall turn into full blown labor. So, I see my regular OB and I have a Perinatologist running parallel. I have already had two ultrasounds, with one by the Perinatologist checking my cervix and growth of the baby. I am getting the p17 shots weekly with a visiting nurse who checks on me and the baby (via doppler) at every visit. My big ultrasound is around the corner, and I can't wait because my Quad Screen came back with some "issues" that we want to clarify at the ultrasound. This could be a false positive, but somehow I have doubled my risk of Down's since DD #1. This was surprising to everyone, so we will do the ultrasound and decide if an amnio is the way to go once we check the measurements on 4/5/10.
I just want to applaud this group for being so patient and committed to doing whatever your babies need to stay healthy. I didn't have long to wait for DD #1, so my patience kicked in a little later. I hope your weekend is nice and quiet. ![]()
