my 6 week old LO is wearing 3-6 months and 6 months clothing (like carter's, gerber, gap...etc.)... do these clothing companies have their sizing way off? what is your experience?
Same here, my 9 week old has been into 3-6 and 6 month stuff for a few weeks already. Gerber seems to run the smallest. ....but my DD is long! she's 97% height at 24 1/4" and 90% weight at 12lbs 8.9oz.
DD will be 9 weeks on Tuesday and is still in NB clothing. She did wear her first pair on 0-3 jeans the other day, however. They were big, but not huge.
My 10 week old is in 0-3, but the legs are comically short. He's 90%th percentile for height and 25% for weight, so 3-6's are long enough, but way too wide.

mostly 3-6 but many things are just 6 month. he is big also I am actually surprised he can still wear 3-6. any thing with feet has to be 6-9 though because he is tall.
DD is 12 weeks old and is in NB and in 0-3 but they are swallowing her. DD is 11 lbs and 22 1/4 inches long. The only brand I absolutely hate when it comes to sizing is GERBER...ridiculously small.
DS is exactely 3 months old today (yay!) and is wearing some 3-6, but mostly 6 month clothes. (And forget Gerber.... why the heck do they make everything so small?! LOL I thought I shrunk the onesies when i took them out of the wash.... )
DS is almost 8 wks and mostly in 0-3, but it depends on brand and style. Gerber runs small, Carter's is a teeny bit big, and OshKosh is bigger. He has some off brand onesies in 3-6 that fit too. DS is about 11 lbs, but he's really long, so he can hardly wear footies at all - the 0-3s are too short and the 3-6s are huge.
DD is 12 weeks old and has been wearing 0-3 and 3 month clothes for about a month now. She was 6 lbs at birth and about 10-11 lbs now. Carters brand fits her perfectly right now. Other 0-3 month stuff is still too big.
DS was 14lb at 2 months (yes hes a beast) not sure how big he is now. Hes in 3-6s and 6month clothes (Carters and such). Im looking at him swimming in a pair of 3-6 month baby gap overalls right now tho. So who knows.
He also has monster feet and is super tall, so he's in 6-12 month socks and sleepers are a joke.

Everyone always says that Gerber is really small and I even thought that especially after I washed them for the first time, but my lo fits perfectly in NB Gerber clothes. Actually, out of all of the other brands Gerber fits him the best. He is small, but I don't think he's abnormally small. He was 6lbs, 10 oz, 19 1/2 inches long at birth.
DD will be 10 weeks on Tuesday. She is wearing 0-3 months clothes. The Gerber 0-3 is getting a little small for her. She fits perfectly in the Carters 3 months things.
Re: what size clothing is your LO wearing
My 9 week old is now in 0-3 and some 3-6, she literally just came out of NB clothes.
