Pregnant after a Loss

What's your morning sickness like?

Ugh!! Mine lasts ALL day. But I don't throw up, it's just constant nausea. Blah. Does anyone really only get sick in the morning? I find that hard to believe...
I married a ginger.

  • I'm sorry Sad. I never really got any, just a little sick to my stomach at night.

    @Shell - ***.

    I have constant nausea. Haven't thrown up (yet - knock on wood). It's worse if my stomach is empty, or if I'm too full. Or just randomly for no reason.

    Lets just say my house isn't so pretty right now. Mine is the same as yours. Horrible. I'm beginning to wonder what I think is worse. The all day nausea I have now, or the constant throwing up I had with DS1.

    Mine is the same way.  Constant nausea all day, but no throwing up.  And to top it off I have really bad indigestion, too.  I can't wait for this part of pregnancy to pass!

  • Mine is all day. Without Zofran its constant nausea. On bad days I vomit 5-6x/day. On good days its only 2-3x/day. The worst is on the way to work in the morning. I start my drive at about 4am and 3x i've puked in the car while I'm driving (tons of fun btw) I keep barf bags from the hospital and extra zofran in my pockets at all times.

  • I have had a few days where it last all day but for the most part mine starts in the evening. I have a few aversions at breakfast and lunch but then I can't hardly keep dinner down at all. So, I call mine evening sickness not morning sickness.

    Exactly. EXACTLY how I feel. I have found that peanut butter crackers are the best way to start the morning... but I can't imagine it's healthy for me to just eat that all the time.

  • peanut butter crackers are good! protein is awesome.

    If you choose whole wheat crackers, that's better than just the regular kind.

  • I STILL have morning sickness.  It's like your, nauseous all day, but I rarely actually throw up.  I feel OK while I'm eating, but as soon as I'm done, it gets even stronger.

    It's sad that I'm just used to it and still function.  I pretty much figure if I still have it, I'll have for the rest of the pregnancy.  My mom told me it's payback for when she was pregnant w/me.  Not cool, Mom Stick out tongue

  • Mine was the same: 24/7 nausea. I never actually threw up, not once, but sometimes I think that feeling like you're going to all day is worse than actually barfing and getting it over and done with. The only thing that helped me was REALLY sour candy.
  • Me too, I have the same exact thing as you.  Don't look at my ticker, I'm sure I'm one of the outliers that have it this long.  If it gets to be too much, ask your doc for meds, there is no need to suffer, there are plenty of safe meds!

  • It's been constant nausea, usually not too bad but sometimes it gets intense for no apparent reason. Haven't thrown up yet. Ginger has been my salvation, went to Whole Foods last night and stocked up on ginger root, ginger beer, and ginger tea.
  • I get really nauseated in the later afternoon. Around 3pm I need Ginger tea or hot chocolate to calm my stomach. This lasts through dinner and I have to watch out that I don't eat the wrong thing for dinner. Heartburn will set in if I do and that is horrid. I have also been 'blocked' up so I'm taking a stool softener now, but before I started doing that I had this weird combination of being ravenously hungry, nauseous, heart burned, and blocked up. That, is by far the worst feeling I have ever, ever had!
