What's your best stain remover for getting stains out of clothes? I'm looking to get some whites whiter and something to have on hand when my son decides lunch looks better on his shirt
For big messes (like poop blowouts, lunch disasters) I will rinse right away with hot water (usually in the bathtub), then I soak it in a strong oxiclean/hot water solution. ?After I let it soak for awhile I just put it in with the wash. ?I wash his laundry in warm water with regular detergent, but I add a 1/2-1 scoop of oxiclean to the load for extra clean!?
OxyClean Baby is A-maze-ing! I do not use it with every load, but whenever we have an especially messy load I toss a scoopful in and I have NEVER had a stain that was not defeated by OxyCleanBaby!
I swear by oxyclean. I use the spray on bib, poo-splosions, the necks and sleeves of K's clothes and I also add a half a scoop of powder to the load of laundry. Works wonders.
I also use Shout Advanced, and let stained clothes soak for a couple hours (I just start the machine but leave the lid open so it doesn't complete the cycle) before actually washing it.
Re: Getting stains out of clothes
The sun is actually a natural whitener and stain remover - believe it or not.
Also, for whites lemon juice with baking soda in a hot wash/soak - then follow-up with sun drying.
Hydrogen peroxide is a good stain remover as well
Good luck.
I just discovered a page that says both. Who knew? I always have baking soda, peroxide, & lemon juice on hand. Now I WANT to go do laundry. LOL

Whites --> Bleach
Colors --> Clorox 2
