I just got a call from my credit card company and found out someone got my credit card information through their website. Whoever has my information tried to spend over 500$ on all online stores. My credit card company stopped the transactions and notified me right away but please be careful when buying things online. It a scary thing to go through and I'm sure it's still not over!
Re: CafePress.com=Fraud
Good thing your credit company caught that. I've had my info stolen and used in Ireland... I've never been to Ireland. It took about a week before my bank notified me.
I like CafePress and was considering placing an order. Maybe not!
If you still want to place an order on there, go to Wal Mart or some store that sells the re-loadable Visa cards and go that route. That way your money is safe, yet you still can get what you need/want.
i had that happen to me about a year ago.. on amazon.
the thing about it, was that my cc was with chase, and they NEVER notified me..
we were in the middle of moving, so we didn't have the internet, but luckily i had a blackberry that i got my email on. - i woke up to an email from amazon saying "thanks for your order of blah blah blah for $200" and i'm like huh wtf? and it had been an order i placed about a month prior to that, so i thought it was just a mistake and they sent me the email again, well the ship date was ahead of what the day actually was, and i had already gotten what i ordered.. so i was confused. then not an hour later i get ANOTHER email saying the same thing, only it was like $3000 worth of stuff, a mac computer, a bose stereo system, and a whole bunch of other electronics. i called chase right away and freaked out... i had to go through the whole process of identity theft and everything. not fun
hope everything goes alright and nothing else happens! it definitely sucks! damn losers with nothing else better to do!
