Another f/u to "I hate the local police"

So...  The saga continues.  Since the last time I posted about this issue, my DH has told this lady NOT to come over here.  She came again ringing the doorbell and my mom answered the door and she told her not to come over here.  Well lo and f-ing behold, I am sleeping on the couch this morning and all of a sudden my damn doorbell starts ringing like the outside is on fire.  I look out the window next to the door and I can't see anyone, but the doorbell keeps ringing. I run up 15 stairs to try to look out the window upstairs and this biach is standing so close to the door that I can't even see her.  I see the porch but NOT her.  I tell my DH and she is outside and I'm about to go "LET HER AZZ HAVE IT!!!!"  He says, "No let me go outside".  So I let him "be a man" and he goes and yells out the window, "don't ring the doorbell and don't come over here again" (for the third time).

Well I called the police and told them that I wanted to file a trespassing report and that this is my second time calling and I wanted an officer to come out here (since they blew me off the last time).  They're allegedly on the way.  I'm so PISSED I could spit fire.  Why in the F do I have to deal with this bull on a f-ing Saturday morning!!!!!

  • That sucks! I would probably just let the police advise you on what to do with the situation instead of you telling them what you want to file. Try to relax, being worked up is not going to make a productive result. I hope this gets fixed, she sounds like a crazy lady!
  • Wow that sucks! I have been following this story for a few weeks now. It sucks that you have a crazy neighbor and that her "caregiver' doesn't do his job. Sorry!
  • I remember your post about this.  That lady is friggin' NUTS!  Have you or H tried talking to her caregiver?

Well you've missed quite a saga.  A quick and dirty...  My neighbor comes over to my house whenever she feels like it and rings my doorbell like 30 times consecutively.  Then when you open the door, she's standing like two millimeters from the door and she just says "hi".  Well, I believe that she has a mental retardation or brain injury (although I didn't have any proof) and her caretaker just lets her wander around the neighborhood.  I called the police once and they blew me off.  She is a danger to herself and I don't know what her intentions are so it's really scaring me and pissing me off.  Dh told her not to come over, she's scared my nephew, scared my mom and my mom told her not to come over and her azz shows up here this morning at 8:00!!!!

  • UPDATE:  The police came and I explained to them what has been going on.  They went across the street and talked to her (not her caretaker).  The cop told me that she does have some level of MR but she is highly functioning.  She repeats what you say to her and repeats herself.  She informed him that she just wanted to come over and say "hi".  They told her again, not to come over here.  He did say that if she sees us outside the house she may attempt to speak and talk to us -which isn't really even an issue, I just want this lady all over my doorbell.  He did say that he is going to file a report for a person with a mental illness and let them know if I have any other issues.  So hopefully this is over.

She better be glad that I don't have an outside baby yet because if she had awakened myself with a newborn or LO it would be HELL TO PAY!!!!

  • Ive been following this as well.  That lady sounds nuts.  I dont think you should have to deal with worrying that the lady next door is ringing the doorbell constantly..or what you'll find if you open the door.  If she has a caregiver then obviously she shouldnt be alone or free to roam about the neighborhood.  i hope thats the last time you hear from her.

  • We have a guy on our street like this who stops by our house (or just decides to go in our back yard).  Hes in his 50s but he is mentally around 14-15.  He makes me kinda nervous just because he is so much bigger than I am and could hurt someone if he wanted to.  I've been told he likes pregnant ladies (from our neighbor) so I've been in hiding from him!

I'm sure nothing would ever happen but I totally understand your frustration!
