Hingham Family Childcare Center

Anyone have any reviews on this in-home daycare?  I'm concerned with the dated facility and only 2 adults for 10 children, including up to 4 infants.  Or any other day cares in Hingham?  We've looked into Bright Horizons as well, but they're just so darn expensive at 2k/mo for only 7:00 - 4:00.  I need it to be along the 3A route into the city, as this is the route to/from work.

Any help is greatly appreciated- we're new in town!

  • I met with a couple of great nannies that I found thru sittercity.

Some people will sit in your home or at their home. Good luck with your search.

  • I worked in a daycare on the south shore for 2 1/2 years and now work as a nanny. I would reccomend a  nanny over a daycare for a newborn. Your child will get MUCH more attention from a nanny rather than in a daycare where it's not possible with the teacher to child ratio. I wouldn't settle for any nanny, i suggest looking on care4hire.com, sittercity.com, and possibly craigslist. I would interview several people before deciding because i've come across quite a few nannies that just don't care. As far as daycares go, i'm not against them, i think they're great for children as they get older for socializing, but for a newborn, most of the time they will not be getting the love/attention that they need. Hope this helps!
