    Nothing much, DH is out of town for the weekend, so I am in my jammies watching What Not to Wear.  My doc wrote me off work today so I will be going into work this weekend to make sure everything is ready for my sub.

    SoCali- Are you really going to have to finish out this year's lesson plans? That's crazy. I could see a week or so to give the sub a chance to feel out your class.

    CB- What are Swagbucks, and how do I get them?

    MrsShrek- I didna see yer bubley when I got home. I'm glad you are still around. I thought BOTB lost you after all the shiznit the last few weeks. How are Chloe's Pox?

    I don't have to leave specific lesson plans, just pacing guides and schedules, etc.  But I was not expecting to go off work for 2 more weeks so I need to go into my room and do some organizing, make sure my grade books are completely up to date, etc.

    oooh i do swagbucks too! i wasnt around much until thinks more or less calmed down. Chloe's pox are looking good, she is still itchy though!

    Basically you just use swagbucks as a search engine and earn e-bucks every once in awhile and then you can trade them for things like amazon gift cards or movies...or anything really.

    They use google and ask.com as their search results but a few more "sponsored" results come up (I guess that's how they pay you) so you still get the same results but you get paid to do what you normally do anyway.

    You can take a look around here and sign up if you want. :)

    I think one of my favorite things about that website is that they've partnered with other online retailers and you can go in and click through to places like ProFlowers, Drugstore.com, Expedia.com, 1800contacts.com (and tons more) and get 2 swagbucks for every dollar you spend.  Dollars you probably would have spent anyway.

    That's good. I have run across so many that want you to "buy in" to receive benefits. Like Barnes and Noble vs. Borders. I shop Borders because I get the discount after spending a certain amount. With B&N, I have to buy in, then spend enough to make it worth it.

    I hate B&N.  They harass me every time I go in there to buy a membership.  Hell no.  I can go a few miles down the street to Borders and get those same benefits for free.  Eff you!

    I think I have decided to start buying my toiletries on drugstore.com since they are roughly the same price I pay now plus I can get swagbucks for what I spend.  Soap, shampoo, makeup, deodorant... stuff I need anyway.

    Hmmm. I can get a lot of OTC's where I work with my discount, so I'm not sure I could make this work. Just have to shop elsewhere for bar soap and deodorant-oooh, actually I could get DH & DD's stuff though...

    There are a TON of retailers.  Walmart, Target, Petco, Macy's... I've started to think twice about what I'm buying and check to see if I can go through SB to earn $ on what I spend.

    DH needs contacts soon so I foresee a large sum of SB added to my account.
