I was told yesterday that I have GD but I wasn't given any info. I go back next week to meet with the lady who is supposed to educate me on all of this but thats a whole week away. I've been taking my blood sugar(1st thing in the morning and then 2 hours after meals) but I don't know what the numbers supposed to be. I have just been using common sense as far as eating goes and trying to be really healthy but my levels keep jumping higher and I don't know if that's normal. Google has been no help. So basically I'm a little confused. Any helpful info would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!!

DD - 6-2013

I also had to wait a week after diagnosis to meet with the diabetic nurse. I'm glad they didn't give me a tester before I met with the nurse or I would have driven myself crazy.
I got this info from the diabetic nurse.
Recommended values:
Fasting (before breakfast): 70-95 mg/dl
2 hours after the start of the meal: 90 - 120 mg/dl
HTHs.
