Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Those w/ toddlers as well...

Tessa's a night owl and doesn't go down for the night until after 11pm.  She sleeps until 9ish (w/ a couple feedings in there).  Not so bad BUT...

My twin boys (2 in May) sleep from 7 until 6:30ish.  GREAT sleepers and I wouldn't normally complain but...

I need their nights to align a bit better  Last night I got 4 hrs of sleep - this makes me incredibly short tempered throughout the day.

I'm not sure I have a question - I know there's virtually no way to get Tessa to change and I'm not sure I want the boys' schedule changed.  Just needed to vent...

Re: Those w/ toddlers as well...

  • I understand.  I have an almost 21 month dd and a month old ds.  DD's sleep schedule has changed since ds was born.  Luckily dd sleeps through the night great, so I only have to get up with ds.  DD goes to sleep around 10'ish and ds around 11'ish.  Good luck with aligning their schedules.

  • Hang in there. Tessa WILL change. In my experience and from what I have read...expect her bedtime to become earlier and earlier and eventually line up with your twins between week 12-16.

  • eventually we have gotten things a bit closer--baby goes down at 7 or shortly after,  toddler in room @ 8/8:30, unless no nap then 7:30.   baby sleeps until 6 and toddler sleeps until between 6 and 7!   depends on how tired she was te day before.    sucks though when baby has an urge to eat at 4:30 and wants to stay up until 5:30/5:45 then crashes right before toddler gets up.   that happened fri and sat last week.   thankfully only once since!    good luck-and i feel your pain.     unrelated where in st p are you??
