worst. day. ever.

I WAH, but once a month I go to the office a few hours.  Today was that day.  C is teething and sick for the 1st time ever (a cold), so my mom came here to watch him.  He ended up throwing up everywhere right before I left, but my mom convinced he'd be fine and to just go.  So I did.

5minutes after I left I realized my drivers side windshield wiper was making a weird noise.  Fast forward 15minutes later and on the highway and it flies halfway off......in the middle of construction w/ nowhere to pull over.  I was able to get to a highway and to a gas station.  They replaced my wipers, I went to leave and realized they were doing the same thing.  They checked my wipers again and realized the bolt by the transmission was cracked and needed to be replaced.  This would be a few hours of work I did not have time for, so I decided to just try to drive.

Thankfully I made a wrong turn and ended up on the highway going towards home instead of towards work b/c the wiper flew off in the middle of construction w/ tractor trailers in front of and next to me (you know how much extra water they kick up on your windshield)!  I got off the highway hysterically crying and eventually made it home in 1 piece.  

DS slept the whole time I was gone....and woke up a poor crying mess about 2minutes after I got in!!  And, I have to go to my nephew's high school play tonight (as long as C is doing ok, I can't miss it my nephew would be crushed) when all I want to do is hit the couch once DH gets home!!!

 ugh!

    I am thinking maybe beer tonight, it's been awhile...either way I will be enjoying some type of alcoholic beverage when my day is over!!!

    I think I remember you posting that your LO was sick?  If I am right, I hope everyone in your house has a good weekend!!!

    Thanks for asking!  DD's still sick, poor thing, and then I got her fever (but not her cough or congestion).  Only DH escaped.  It's supposed to monsoon here over the weekend, so I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend at home watching basketball.  Hopefully, DD will get better or I'm going to end up buried in Kleenex!

    Holy crap, thank God you weren't hurt!  Yikes.  Hopefully tonight will go more smoothly or you can just skip it and stay home!  :)
