1st appt w/RE at Boston IVF

Hi Ladies! 

  I had two missed m/c w/in a 5 month period.  I am meeting with Dr. Penzias at Boston IVF on Monday.  Anyone out there have an experience at Boston IVF or Dr. Penzias in particular?  I am approved for one appointment so far.  Pretty sure it's just a consult.  Any suggestions as to questions or concerns I should be sure to bring up?

    Dr Penzias was our RE and we loved him. I seem to remember that he is their miscarriage specialist.  We ended having to go all the way to IVf but I am due in 6 weeks with a beautiful little baby boy.  His main nurse Donna seemed a little gruff to me at first but I think I was also so emotionally charged at that point, even if it was Cinderella I might have been put off.  You can also go back 1 year after you deliver and start at the same point in treatment if need be.  I have nothing but rave reviews of my time at BIVF.

    I didn't use Boston IVF but did IVF for both my son (now 2.5) and this pregnancy. I was referred after 4 m/c, the only thing I would ask him about is  getting a chromosome test done on you and your husband (karotype testing). We found out we had a chromosome issue that we had to do IVF/PGD with. If recurrent m/c is his thing he'll know a lot more about this.

    I'm sorry you had 2 m/c it's so emotional, but  you are in great hands from all I've heard of Boston IVF. Good Luck.

    I saw Dr. Bayer at Boston IVF and had a great experience. ?We began with a consult there in January 2009 and got pregnant in October 2009 after 3 IUIs and 1 IVF. ?

    I would highly recommend the Domar Center (attached to BIVF) as well. ? I did acupuncture there for my IVF, and loved it.
