Getting Together with Other Mommies/Mommies-to-be

Hi there!

I recently moved to the area - I don't know many people here and I would love to get together with some gals who are already mommies or who are soon-to-be.

Are there any groups like that already out there?

    where are you? we on this board are from all over, DC, MD, VA. Try Mamistad and other groups on meetup.com

    we also occasionally have GTGs from this board

    how old is your LO?

    INOVA hospitals have new moms groups - I think there is on in Alexandria.  I go to the one at Fair Oaks.  I am sure the other hospitals in the area offer something.

    Where do you live? I joined a forum "novamommies", they have a lot of get togethers, and there are smaller groups within the forum based on the different areas of northern virginia. I can't remember the exact web address, but I'm sure you can goggle novamommies and find it.

    Most of us are just like you, transplants from elsewhere who know no one in town.  There are MANY groups out there and Sofka gave you some great places to start.
