qotd: i haven't gained any weight being pg (my dr told me to maintain) but i was not a skinny mini to start with! i had a pretty intense workout regimen before getting pg so i am hoping to get back to that as soon as possible. 2 days a week with my personal trainer, and then 3 classes a week of bar method (it's like cardio, pilaties and resistance training all in one). i want to be a hot twin mama!
LOL! That's what I say too!

Question of the Day: What are you going to do to lose the baby weight? Any immediate plans to get back into shape?
I will probably start with walking since I will be pretty out of shape from being on bedrest. After I plan on getting back on my mountain bike and doing the 30 day shred with Jillian Michaels.

Question of the Day: What are you going to do to lose the baby weight? Any immediate plans to get back into shape?
Answer- I try not to think about it since I"m still going to be out of commission with my back for at least 3 months if the first treatment works. If that doesn't work, I'll be looking at surgery and another 4-6 months recovery after that. I haven't gained a ton of weight anyways and was small to start with, so I'm hoping that between being a little more active and bf'ing I'll lose most of my baby weight.
Updates- I have my MRI today. I need to leave in and hour and 15 min and am sooo nervous. I'm afraid I'll have a panic attack and make an ass out of myself... I won't know what the results are till next Wed, so it'll be a long wait. But once we make it through today with no problems, that means we will be closing on our restaurant for sure on Monday! I'm really excited. I get to go down to my Mom's with Troy on Sunday and sign the papers on Mon am, then we get to go to our new place! Yeah!

QOTD: Since we have now moved into a neighborhood with sidewalks I plan on doing a lot of walking as soon as I am able. Actually, I'm currently researching a good double stroller. With my first, I had lost a lot of muscle mass due to 20wks of bed rest and I'm sure it will be worse with the second preg and another 20wks of bed rest. I'm thinking about those shape-up sneakers that are supposed to help burn more faster. we also have a wii fit so I'll probably try and do some pilates. I'm determined to get back into my pre-preggo suits - and mainly b/c I can't afford to replace my wardrobe!
I will be breastfeeding so that should help a little but iIm not expecting a miracle of the weight melting away like I did with my first baby!

Question of the Day: What are you going to do to lose the baby weight? Any immediate plans to get back into shape?
Answer: I will probably join Weight Watchers. I've had good success with them in the past. And, I have a gym membership too. So, I picture myself getting outside alot and getting to the gym- but I am very worried about low energy levels coming off bedrest. Especially with a newborn. I think I will start slow and just work my way up. I'm not going to beat myself up about it- but my goal is to be totally back to normal by Christmas.
Updates: Nothing too new here. It is cold and rainy and gray in NJ. Which makes me feel better about being in bed! I went for my 1 hour glucose test this morning- so while it was a pain, it was nice to get out of the house. DH is going out for boy's night tonight. I have to selfishly admit that I wish he was coming home to do nothing with me- but I know he needs a break. I'm happy that he will be able to blow off some steam with his friends. I think I'm just jealous more than anything.

Question of the Day: What are you going to do to lose the baby weight? Any immediate plans to get back into shape?
Answer: My initial plan is to just do as much walking as I can, and I also hope that breastfeeding will help me lose some weight. But I definitely need to tone up my muscles, too... my legs are still ok, but my arms are like gigantic marshmallows (I've always had problems with my arms). I have the 30-day shred on DVD, a ton of hand weights, and a gym membership, so I plan to do as much as I can. My goal is to look like my old self in time to be a bridesmaid the first weekend in October.
Update: I have been feeling good today. The first thing I did when I got up was go into the nursery and start organizing their toys and books. And now I am folding laundry, I am in love with these tiny clothes and can't wait to be holding my sons.

Question of the Day: What are you going to do to lose the baby weight? Any immediate plans to get back into shape?
OMG, after sitting on my butt for an entire month in this hospital and looking at another one, I can't wait to get out and run again! Especially since it's warming up here in KY!!
So, my plan is to cross train with running, I want to run a 10 miler by the end of the year....I was running about 3 miles before I got pregnant and have run upto 8 in the past and want to do a spring 1/2 marathon next spring and then I want to incorporate my FIRM workout dvd's. I love these because the combine cardio and strenght and I've always gotten great results from them, quick too.
So that's my plan. Can't wait to get a cool jogging stroller for LO and hit the road!
I did some light jogging early on in my pregnancy but switched off to walking later on, and I've always been active so this is driving me nuts!! I'm afraid I will have 0 muscle tone left! I did a great outdoor 6am bootcamp last summer and was doing good until all this, grrr. I asked for a recumbant bike in the hospital, but nope.
Also, if anyone wants a good plan to get from walking to running a 5K (3 miler) a great program is Couch to 5K, that's probalby what I will use to get going again since I'll have had no activity for like 2 months. It's great and if you can walk you can do it....just google couch to 5K, it's a 9 week program , 3 days a week.

QOTD: I've gained 22 lbs during this pregnancy so far... I'm not so worried about the weight as I am regaining muscle strength- I'm going to start out with lots of walking...I also do yoga at home and am getting a Wii fit. Hopefully that will be enough!
Updates: Had a old co-worker stop by today which helped make the day go by faster- also made my birth plan, packing list and planned out the summer garden. All in all - a good day- a massage from DH would really make it great!

Why: Went into preterm labor. Having contractions for weeks and Wednesday when we went to L&D we found out I was having more than 6 an hour, cervix was thinning and dialted to a "fingertip", and LO is head down! Put on Procardia to stop contractions.
What are you going to do to lose the baby weight? Any immediate plans to get back in shape? - I plan on BF for LO's health but also for tummy to go down faster lol I'll also lightly work out with weights and maybe yoga as I can during recovery and increase it as I can. I'd like to walk and work up to running again.

Question of the Day: What are you going to do to lose the baby weight? Any immediate plans to get back into shape?
I plan to BF which I was told would help then I'll probably do a lot of walking..taking LO for walks and hitting our Apt complex gym its small but has a tredmill.. oh and since it'll be around june and heading to summer itll be warm enough to hit the pool!
The weight gain is really a depressing thing for me since I've always been self conscience about my weight anyway SO has been sweet about it but I am determined.. Though for the first month I will be taking it easy

QOTD: Well, with 4 kids under 4 i think working out in the beginnging will be hard. I hope once summer comes we are on track enough to start small, walks ect. I found out while trying to get preg. that i have PCOS and insulin resistance which may be why it was so hard for m e to lose weight. so i want to get that in line too.

Question of the Day: What are you going to do to lose the baby weight? Any immediate plans to get back into shape?
I am a fluffy girl to begin, I actually lost 40 lbs in the first trimester due to morning sickness, just hope breastfeeding, and taking walks with baby will help me keep weight off or lose some more.
Update: Had my high risk appt today cervix is up from 1.2 to 1.8 bad news ffn test came back positive, but doc said they are not worried since cervix is longer and no contractions, just come back next week, I know that means an internal check next week that sucks.
Sorry your fFn was positive- I had a positive at 24 weeks and am still baking! I have since had 2 negatives, so I really don't put much stock into that test. According to my peri too- as positive means there is a 30% chance of delivering within 2 weeks. Keepemcookin.com has a lot of good information.... YEAH for your cervix!!!!

Question of the Day: What are you going to do to lose the baby weight? Any immediate plans to get back into shape?
As soon as I get some muscle back I will be taking my boys for lots of walks. Husband and I want to do the couch to 5k plan as well. It would be nice to get a Wii Fit, but we'll see how that goes...
Update: I've been on bedrest for almost 8 weeks now! Just seems like yesterday I started... haha. Only 4 weeks and 6 days until I'm 34 weeks! The dr better let me off bedrest then like he said...
My other son is doing fine, hasn't had another seizure. Praise God!
