Mommy Time Check In

I had some nice Mommy Time today! DS took a long nap and because we are having people over on Sunday for his birthday and I'll be cleaning the house on Sat, I figured I deserved a break on the cleaning today. I watched The Good Wife on On Demand and then took a little cat nap. It was glorious.

I have had a rough week (DD and DH both had a horrible stomach bug last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, then DH left Tues to go OOT for three nights). MIL came over this afternoon for two hours while I went to get a pedicure and hit the grocery store. It was wonderful! I definitely feel refreshed. :-)

I had a bit of a crazy day today. Ben is sick, but I have been scheduled to go to a training class for weeks now. My sister was here with him and since I needed to leave for the class during his nap and she assured me that it was fine for me to go, I went. I just feel so bad for him though. His eyes are all glassy and tearing like crazy and his poor little nose needs to be wiped every 15-20 seconds. He has a low grade fever too.

This is really the first time I've been able to sit and have any time to myself today and I'm nesting, checking email and just ordered tickets online for a friend of mine and I to see a play at my daughter's high school. After I do a couple more things online, I'm going to get in my jammies, grab my book and get in bed because I anticipate Ben will be waking up soon and it's going to be another rough night with him. Poor little guy.

My mom is in town and we stayed up until 6am last night/this morning so I only got 2 hours of sleep last night so I took a nap when DS and DD(and my mom) took a nap. We all slept 3 hours! It was great!
