5 lb 12oz @ 33 weeks

in 3rd Trimester

So, I will be 33 weeks tomorrow.  LO measured 5lb 12oz by u/s today.  Dr says based on his experience the measurements are usually a pound light.  He (and I) both figure baby is going to be huge.

PS. we talked. Dr & I agree - no induction, no C/S.

    On the bright side, you can never trust weight estimates 100%. With my first child, my OB guessed he was about 5lbs at about 32-34 weeks. I had him just shy of 37 weeks and he was 5.5lbs. :)

    I recently got the same estimate...I'm a little worried because they say his head is pretty big.  I'm hoping the weight estimate is a little off but it may be good that he is measuring big because I've recently developed blood pressure problems so if he is born earlier I think he'll be better off if he's a bit bigger.

    At my u/s on Monday, baby measured 6 lbs 9 oz at 34 weeks.  S/he is measuring 37 weeks.  I am scared to death!  Good thing is that I am being induced at 37 weeks due to pre-e.
