saving ultrasound pics...

can you have them scanned to a disk at CVS or Walmart?? How are you saving them long term? We dont own a scanner.

Re: saving ultrasound pics...

  • I have a scanner, so I just scanned them.

Of course you can do it at CVS or where ever - it is just like scanning a picture.

I do remember when I was pg with DD, that someone said do NOT laminate the original. Something about it turning the whole picture black.

That's probably with a real laminater (sp?) that uses heat. You can probably laminate them with the sticky laminating sheets at Michael's, etc.

No, it was with the sheets. My only guess is it has something do with air not getting to it....but I dunno. I have scanned copies on my computer of DD's u/s and I have the originals in a shadow box. They look just as good as when we first got them.

  • A FedEx/Kinkos would be able to scan them for you too, depending on what's convenient to where you live.
  • I didn't get prints, they just gave me digital copies on a CD. I have the opposite problem, I need to get them printed. lol
  • You can scan them at wal-mart, CVS... I took pictures of them on my digital camera and printed them off which - if you can avoid the glare - worked pretty good.
