I don't know why I've never thought of this before. By the end of July I'll have a newborn, an one year old and a 3 and half year (who is very active). I was so worried about what we are going to do this summer/fall, because I still want to be able to take Olivia to parks, zoos, etc. after the baby comes.... well, I think I'm caving and buying a leash! Seriously, I think this is the perfect solution. We'll have a double stroller, but I wasn't sure what to do with Olivia - she doesn't mind sitting, but she enjoys walking/running more and the freedom that goes with it.

Also if you have a double stroller, they make little "scooter boards" that attach to some strollers.

We might get this for our stroller.

Ever tried one of those buggy boards? They are a pain in the asssssssss. I constantly tripped on it.

My SIL has a double stroller with a bench on the back. She can fit three kids on the stroller and the fourth walks along holding onto her mom's pants or hand. She says it works well.

You can also look into Sit and Stand strollers as another option. But I'm also pro-leash.
