bla bla bla, update your online yellow pages listing, blither blither, she asked for my first and last name. "My name is Lisa. You don't need my last name for this"
Kitty, I had them so kerfocked last year. They kept asking for a manager or the owner. They do not work in this office, it's just me and coworker, neither of us is authorized to do x.y.z. They didn't believe us and had 5 different people calling every hour for almost a week straight. They refused, of course, to call our main office when offered.
Usually we just hang up on them, but I felt like screwing with them today.
Awesome. I totally confused some lady the other day from the yellow pages scam. They were calling to "confirm our listing" and I replied "oh, wonderful, you are calling to confirm YOUR listing in OUR directory? May I have your name so we can make sure you are on the invoice?" It was so funny listening to her try to explain that she was calling to confirm our listing, not the other way around. I told her not to worry about address, I did a reverse lookup and would send out the $100/month invoice right away. She got all weird and said she would call back to speak with someone else. I emailed the office and told them to do the same thing if she called back. She's hasn't yet.
