Labor Playlist

Have any of you ladies made a playlist or downloaded songs on your ipod for when you go into labor?

My friends bought a cheap MP3 player and are making a playlist so i can relax. I never heard of this but my doctor said that an MP3 player is completly okay to listen to while in labor.

    Having an MP3 is not on my list of things to bring. I am not worried about music playing in the background. I am pretty sure I will be  more concerned about pushing than what I am listening to.

    I just downloaded a free app on my iPhone: Pandora. It's a music streaming app so you can type in the name of a song or artist that you like and it plays others similar. For example, you like Enya, it will play that and Clannad and other Celtic soft rock.

    At our birthing class they recommened bringing and mp3 player. Which I plan on doing havent decided on the music yet :) They said this is more for the time leading up to the pushing.

    I plan on doing this.  I've already got some classical cd's and relaxation/spa like music on the ipod, so I'll probably just shove them all in a play list and just shuffle it.

    I'm just a music nut too though.

    I have a playlist on my iPod that I plan on bringing.  It has my wedding song, songs I have been playing LO, some other songs that have meaning.  I find that songs I can sing along too a great distraction, so that's what I've been putting.  However, almost my entire list is 80's music because I know all the words.  Go figure!

    My husband made 2 playlists for our IPOD for the baby and for me to play to the baby.  We have a speaker attachment to it.  One is all relaxing classical music and the other we call baby rock.  Really it's our favorite music that we want the baby to be exposed.  I will probably bring this.

    I wouldn't be surprised if my DH wants Led Zeppelin being played when the baby is born.  lol. I was thinking of getting her a onesie with the band on it as a gift for DH! :)

    If I get induced and it's a long time I am also going to have my DH bring one of his guitars with him.  He plays for our little girl every night. :)  It relaxes me too when he plays.
