Pregnant after a Loss

2nd or more time around mommas

If you have a little monster Devil or a little angel Angel at home, do you find yourself getting short tempered with them easily? It isnt all the time for me, but when I catch my self losing my patience , I think, Wow its not her fault my hormones are going nuts... and then I take a minute or two to myself to relax. It just seems these days, my patience runs a but thin quicker than it had. Do you have days like that?

  • Yup.  I feel awful for being so short or sturn with her, but I can't take the whining or the tantrums.  However, when we are walking somewhere her pace is perfect for me and if she starts running I can't keep up.

  • I understand, mine is more I feel terrible when my ds asks me to play and I am too tired to or too sick to. Cut your self some slack. At least you realize it when you are a little to cranky Big Smile
  • This is one of my fear. Currently I have a lot of patience with him but I am only 5 wks. I am scared of how it will be further along or with both kids.

  • I tell DD "I'm sorry" every day.  I am not as fun as I was before I got knocked up.  But, it's also her age, too.  She's almost 2 and she's as feisty as she ever was, lol.

  • Definitely. And I don't even know if it's the hormones completely responsible. I think a lot of it is that I'm getting exhausted so easily now, and when I get home from a long, drama-filled day at work, the last thing I want is to argue with DD.

But, man, she can be sassy sometimes! ;)

Oh I hear you on the sassy-ness! I try to get out with DD everyday to do something fun, but when I simply can't because of how I feel , DD decides throwing a fit is the best option to get her way. She quickly learned tantrums are not the answer, so she has eased up. But shes been talking back lately, and I just have to pick and choose my battles .Some things are just not worth fighting over. I just have realized lately I actually get flustered more easily, and have to take my time to think if I really want to make a big deal or not lol. I think its the whole independence at 3 thing.

  • This is definitely me.  And DD is very fiesty too.  There's a lot I can't do right now because I also have a subchorionic hemorrhage, so I'm extremely boring to her at times.  I've really had to pray a lot more about my quick temper these last few weeks!
  • I have 3 little ones at home and yes my patience is VERY thin.  I'm very short tempered and I have to check myself sometimes.  The dumbest things can get me really upset.  Luckily, not every day, but there are days that I yell and I don't like it at all Crying
  • We have been having alot of those days. DD is very active and mischeivious-she is a female Dennis The Menace. There have been days where both of us have just stared at each other crying, because I yelled at her and then we just both got overwhelmed. I really cant wait until this pregnancy is over. Im tired of the temper I have these days. I was never like this with DD.
