Dear lady driving the gold mercury on 79 this evening,
While I am not one to judge and having once been a smoker for many, many years (so I understand the need for a cigarette), have you not read or heard one thing how bad second hand smoke is to another person--let alone a toddler!!! I mean do you really need that cigarette that bad that it can't wait until you and your toddler are no longer in an enclosed space together. And, opening the window doesn't really do too much--especially when you are blowing it towards the closed passenger window. Furthermore, do you think a cigarette box (whether empty or not) is an appropriate toy for you and said toddler to play toss with while either stopped at the light or while driving? I really don't care what decisions you make about your health, but you are making decisions for an innocent child who can't tell you himself that he really doesn't like the second hand smoke.
Yours truly,
A concerned parent

Re: open letter the the lady driving on 79 today
Ugh that makes me sooooo mad when I see people smoking in the car with kids. I saw one girl smoking in the car with her kids with all of the windows rolled UP!! How can you be so careless??!!!
Ugh, that's horrible. Poor kid.
