WooHoo!!! Preemie Niece finally home!

After a month and 4 days in NICU, my little sister's baby girl is finally home! You might remember she was born 6 weeks preemie after my sister's water broke. Although weighing a whopping 6 pounds for being so early, baby Morgan kept having trouble where she'd forget to breathe. She *finally* made it 5 whole days without a stop-breathing episode, so my sister was able to bring her home!

My sister sounds like a nervous wreck, but who the heck wouldn't be when your firstborn has been under round-the-clock care for a month? Baby Morgan is still on a monitor, so hopefully that'll give my sister some piece of mind and let her sleep some. Baby girl already weighs over 8 pounds!

And I'm so excited because I'll be able to go and see Morgan for the first time since she was born! Probably during the week next week since it's spring break. The hospital rules kept me out of NICU, so when I did take my sister to visit I had to stay in the waiting room.

woo hoo! when i was a nanny in college, one of the triplets came home on a monitor. i actually set it off once on accident and my heart about stopped. that little girl is not the biggest of the three- a happy, healthy six year old. have fun loving on the baby!
