Doggie Adoption Update

I am going to make this TTCAL related because every time I am upset I bury my face in doggie fur. 
We have been in the process of adopting another Brittany (see Ruger in siggy.)  The adoption lady, Pat, came last week for a home visit.  We were under the impression that it would be another month or so before we heard anything, but she's bringing over our new dog tonight!  We're so excited but nervous.   It's been just us and Ruger for 5 years now, so this will definitely be a life change for us.  The fence isn't finished yet, and we were wanting that to be completed before getting another dog, but the Brittany Rescue people have a lot of dogs right now, running out of room in foster homes, and know we will be responsible with watching them.  Anyway, this is Jake and he'll be coming around 5:00!  We'll keep him for a few weeks as a trial and if he and Ruger get along he'll be part of our family soon!

    Aww!  Thats great news.  Don't worry, everything will work its self out (even though it might now have been optimal timing).  Good luck with the new addition this evening!  If DH would let me get another dog, I would in a heartbeat! (We have a dog, 2 cats and a fish - so he feels that our zoo is big enough).

    I can't see the pics, but I'm so excited for you!  DH wants a Brittany in the worst way - hopefully we'll get one as a friend for Mickey in the next few years.  Have fun with your new little guy and bring us lots of cute pics.

    Wow! Great news! I pinky swear, two bird dogs are easier than one. More expensive, yes, but easier. Now Ruger will someone who understands his BSC little soul.

    Thats so exciting!! As a pet owner of two, getting the second dog was a lot easier than the first. He actually helps keep our first dog busy. They love to play together:)
