K currently has seven teeth... four up top and three below.
Yesterday I noticed that she has her upper right molar cutting through the gums. Her other first molars aren't cutting yet but they will be soon because I could feel them through her gums.
This seems very strange, IMO, since she is not 1 yet.
Any other babies with first molars in? If so, what age did LO get them?
Re: What age for first molars?
Avery got her molars early on like that (I figured she knew she could chew better with them so she hurried them along).
She only had 2 top, 2 bottom teeth when she got all four of her molars... now she's gone back to getting her other teeth
Caroline got hers at about 14-15 months....they took forever to come in and it was awful.....lots of sleepless nights and not wanting to sleep in her crib (which for her is pretty much the 1st sign that she's cutting some pretty painful teeth).
She's just now getting her canines in....and they're really painful too.
Allie has 8 teeth (4 top, 4 bottom) and has had those for awhile. She just cut her first molar about a week ago, and is working on 3 more right now.
I wouldn't say there was a set time for any of them. It seems to vary. Allie had her first two teeth by her 4 month appointment...which according to our pedi was early. Then I know other kids who didn't get any teeth until they were almost one.
I do know the molars seem to be hurting her much more than the others did, so we have had to use Motrin and teething tablets several times.
I found this website with a chart that shows the average ages:

natural m/c and d&c at 10 weeks - 1/24/2014
DX w/ hetero C677t and A1298C MTHFR - 3/4/2014
oh...and a great tip my pedi shared with me for teething.
Rub liquid children's benedryl on her gums. It helps relieve pain and swelling. works MIRACLES for fussy babies
