Daycare ?'s - Brighton, Novi, South Lyon or Northville area...

Does anyone know of any good in home or daycare places in the Brighton, Novi, Northville or South Lyon area....even northville or novi? Looking for any suggestions or your past experiences. Looking for a place to take my 10 month old and 22 month old 1 or 2 days a week...Thanks!

We take DD to The Learning Experience but in Sterling Hts. I know they have one in South Lyon. My coworker goes to the one in Waterford. We both love the place.

I was just going to respond! I live in South Lyon and based on J&R's rec we are going to call The Learning Experience. I've also started looking into Maybury Child Care right on 8 Mile Rd, just west of Beck in Northville.

There is a in home daycare in South Lyon that I used. I called and visited all the daycares in the area and most centers make you come at least 3 days a week. Bette is awesome and my son only went 2 days and then down to 1 day a week. She is off of 9 mile. If I ever had to take my kids back to daycare I'd call her in a heartbeat. Tammara7 - Can you give me a little more info...are there other children the same age in her home (1 and 2 years old) what are her hours like? What is the cost? What is her background/experience? Did you ever have any issues? Why did you stop taking your son there? What was his typical day like? Thank you for the info!

-she has children from infant to schoolaged. Of course during the school year the older kids are at school. My son was about 1-2 1/2 when he went. There were several other kids his age so he always had someone to play with. Most families have at least 2 children that go there. -Lucas was the first child to get there since I had to be to work early. I droped him off around 6:15 am but most kids got there between 7-8 am and I picked him up around 5:45. I think she is open to 6. Because it is a in home daycare she does have a couple of vacations that she takes but she let's you know WAY in advance so it was never a problem. -she has been running her daycare for I think 17 years. I never had any problems. My son actually went to two other daycares and went to another inhome center but they just didn't work out. Bette is so just awesome. She provides meals too which is nice. She does projects and in the summer she would set up a baby pool to let the "older" little kids play in. She has different rooms for kids to nap depending on their age. Plus her husband is really nice. Overall I loved it but I no longer need daycare due to a different job. That was the only reason that we stopped going. I hope this helps! Here is a very handy website, where you can look up daycare providers in MI. You can also pull up their inspection reports and see if there have been any violations.

I live in South Lyon as well and have been looking at daycares for my baby (I am expecting June 25). The Learning experience on 10 mile looks great, but it does not take babies less than 3 days a week and it was the priciest around. There is Rosey's Rompers Room we liked that one a lot and they were cheaper too. We are also looking into at home day care providers as well.
