I want to make a signature trifle for my cousin's shower. I think trifles are so pretty and yummy if done right. So the colors we're incorporating are pink, yellow and green.
I can do green whipped cream, that's no big deal. But what could I use in the trifle to layer it so those colors are present? Any ideas? :-) I was thinking strawberry cake cut into cubes and banana pudding, but I don't know if that would be too thick and goopy. What do you think?
Re: Foodies, help me out!
Your idea sounds yummy
As an alternative, you could do yellow cake with fresh strawberries...although that would make it strawberry short cake-ish...
What about putting fruit in, like green kiwis and then pink whipped cream and bananas? then it wouldn't be AS goopy...
Or maybe watermelon for the pink, green whipped cream, and bananas?

Ooooh! I think this could work:
Layer 1 - pound cake (yellow)
Layer 2 - whipped cream mixed with strawberries to turn it pinky
Layer 3 - kiwi
Does that sound yummy?! hclavalley, the kiwi is some good thinkin'!

Sounds good to me! Also, they do sell strawberry cool whip (or at least they do here!) I would still put the strawberries in though.
Yum!!
