doing a CD trial - what else do I need?

My trial from JilliansDrawers shipped today and while I'm excited to try CDing, I realized that there may be some additional things I need to make it work.  However, we're not 100% sold on CDing yet, so I don't want to make a big investment on something we might not stick with.

Any suggestions on temporary wet bag/diaper pail (that won't stink up the room and make me hate CDing right away)?  How about detergent for my front loading washer?  I bought 2 hemp inserts since DS is a big overnight wetter - am I going to need additional inserts on top of what they send me?  And if so, can I use the gerber prefolds I used for burp cloths?  Am I overthinking this whole thing?

Any tips/tricks for a total newbie would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

    When I did Jillian's Drawers trial I just ended up using a regular garbage bag with a plain ol' pail.  My favorite diaper for overnight was the bumgenius with two inserts and I LOVED the GroBaby with booster.  I started CDing in the first place, because of the nighttime wetting.  If you look on their website, they have detergent recommendations--I started off with regular Tide powder, but couldn't stand the way things smelled once they were peed on.  After trying Tide and Charlie's, we decided on Rockin' Green detergent (we have hard water).  If you end up not CDing, the detergent is still great...we use it on everything.  Even if you're hesitant about it, be sure and try the prefolds/diaper cover combo, whether you use the snappi or just trifold, at least give it a try :)

    Just a heads up to you - I just got my JD trial last week and I didn't get any pocket diapers w/ it (I think there are supposed to be one or maybe two in it?). They were out, so they substituted additional AIOs, I think. So, personally, because I am about 100% sure we'll do CDing, I bought two one size pocket diapers, in addition to the trial stuff.
