so had an u/s because of my accident yesterday and they found a healthy sac and yolk but no fetal pole. the tec said she measured me at 5w4d. doc said everything looked fine but its just to early for that. but still makes me worried
I had no pole or HB at 6 wks 0 d, but I did have a gestational sac and a yolk sac. The follow-up U/S at 8 wks 0 d showed a full-fledged fetus. I know it's hard not to worry, especially with the accident and all. But it could just be that it's too early for you to see anything right now. Unfortunately, it's always a wait-and-see situation.
thats what they said but i think its kinda weird they dont want to see me in a week or two for a follow up u/s they just said see you at your next appointment which isnt until april 5 ugh
well unfortunately there isnt much they can do for you regardless so thats probably what they are thinking. if it isnt growing appropriately they will be able to tell at oyur next appointment (assuming they give you another u/s). i know its stressful but you are still new to the pregnancy and your dates may have just been off. have faith! and congrats on your little one
This is why a lot of people on this board advise against early u/s. I've read this happens a lot. I do understand you had trauma, so there was a reason for yours.

yeah the doc wanted to make sure thats why they did it so early with DD i didnt have on until 15 or so weeks and by then theres a baby looking blob in there lol. i am impatient so thats what my issue is lol
don't be! my first US was the same- just an empty sac. i went back last week and there's a baby, heartbeat and all! it's too early and that is totally normal.
im hoping at my next appointment they will do another u/s but they dont want to see me until my next monthly on april5 its going to be a long 4 weeks ugh
