Hi everyone! I somehow stumbled across this website the other day when I was looking for some kid-activities to do with my 7 month old. It seems like it may be a new website but it has great ideas of things to do and a nice calendar of upcoming events. It allows anyone to post events they know about so I signed up. It seems like the more people who sign up and use it the better it will become too. It is https://aacmoms.ning.com/
Just thought I would pass it along in case anyone else is interested in finding kid friendly activites in MD. It says Anne Arundel County but there are a bunch of things listed in other counties.
Re: Maryland Moms Website
Thanks for the site. Another on is https://www.baltimoremommies.com/. I have joined the website and one day I will attend some of the events. It's hard since I work full-time, though. Most things are planned while I am at work, and slots for the weekend events get taken by SAHM too.
This has had me bummed out, because LO goes to her grandmoms for daycare and has little social interaction with other kids. We are taking Mommy & Me swimming but I'd like to find other things to do as well. Seems like everything is geared towards SAHM!
I work F/T too so I needed more ideas of stuff to do in the evenings or on the weekends. I asked for a mommy and me swim class for my birthday
So I am hoping I will get that!
I don't get the slots? On that website only a certain amount of people can go to stuff? Some events are playdates at people's homes, and they limit the number of people that can attend. Events that are out in public have no limit, but most of those are during the week. Sheesh!
FI says I should start my own working moms playgroup. What part of Maryland are you in?
Butting in - I am normally on the Baltimore Nest, but we are starting to try to have a working mom's playgroup - meeting once a month. We had one last month in Columbia and have another one coming up later this month in Bel Air. PM me your email addy if you are interested or page me or Firedancer on the Baltimore Nest board if you are interseted.
We had ~12 moms and kids (2 - 18 mo) at the last one; probably have a few more toddlers and preschoolers at the one this month.
