I know this is controversial and I haven't even had the chance to research it much yet since I've been so busy researching other things. And yes, there's new data, but I'm still pretty sure we're going to be a family who possibly does the vaccinations on a nontraditional schedule.
Anyone know what pedis in the south or central area are open to this?

Re: Delayed vax mommies; who are your pedis?
Thank you, but if that's in Round Rock, it's not going to work for us. We're in Buda!

We like Dr. Hughes. Dr. Ma (at the same practice) is also willing to vaccinate on an alternative schedule.
Yeah, it's in RR..Definitely too far to drive for you. Sorry!
We had to sign a waiver too. I think if you don't follow the AAP schedule, you have to sign a waiver.
Thanks; good to know. After I posted this, I saw all the doctors from that practice listed on The Vaccine Book's website. I also read a review from someone on Yelp that said, "In any case, I'm not completely against the vaccinating of kids, just maybe an alternative schedule would be better in my opinion. When interviewing for a pediatrician, I have gotten some scathing condescension because of this." That made me not want to hunt around too much!
TXAggie, Did you ever look into Dr. Esparza or Dr. Fournier at ARC when you were looking?
There's also Dr. Geoffry Cox at Seton Southwest, although he is with a family practice. We were with him until our insurance changed. They are pro-breastfeeding past a year and supportive of attachment parenting styles, if that makes a difference.
We're now with Bee Caves Pediatrics, which is actually by Barton Creek Mall. That may be a stretch for you, but the doctors are all open to delayed and I've heard non vax patients. We see Dr. Norton. She's great.
