Mine tells me not to or says it's not necessary with the OPK and since I've been temping for a year and have a good idea when I O. I found this surprising and am curious what other RE's say.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
For this child I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of him.

Success with #1 after Femara + Trigger + IUI
My RE is not a charting supporter, in fact he told me that people don't get pg by taking their temps because that doesn't tell you when you will ovulate. Which is partly true in my thinking, but imagine how floored I was when he said that at our first appt.
I think he is an awesome RE despite our little disagreement over charting, and I continue to do it without telling him. He was worried that it would make me obsess and stress me out, but I've been at this long enough that I'm over that stage. It actually comforts me to see my pattern confirming what the u/s tell me, and I love seeing that temp rise after my triggers. And as sucky as the temp drops are at the end of a cycle, at least they keep me from having too much false hope.
Mine said my charts looked like the DOW Jones
My RE said I didn't need to. My RE nurse (who does the IUIs) knows that I do, which she thinks is funny.
But it works for me - even with the medication and trigger I can see the shift and drop.
It took 5 failed IUIs and a failed IVF, but our FET worked!

Our baby girl was born on April 27, 2011!
Yes, my RE tells me to chart and always ask for them when I meet with him. He was on vacation 2 weeks ago and I met with a different doctor in the practice and I gave the nurse my charts when I walked in. She told me oh, only my RE uses them and he is "old school" and none of the other doctors request them. How strange! It just made me laugh. Hey, we need a laugh through all this, right?
